Every Sunday the Food Pantry Ministry will have “OneCanIcan”.  Everyone (member, nonmember, guests, and visitors) will have the opportunity to help with providing food for the less fortunate by bringing one can good. Place your can-good in the “onecanIcan” bins located at any entrance.

Items for the month are:

November 11th                    Cereal, powdered milk, instant potatoes

November 18th                    Green beans, spinach, corn, green peas

November 25th                    Grits, can chicken, tuna, spam, beef stew, chili, vegetable soup, peanut butter Jelly, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce

21 Nights of Prayer

 Everyone is invited to come out for 21 Nights of Prayer Monday, October 29th thru Saturday, November 17th. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge regarding prayer through biblical teaching. Angel Tree

It’s Angel Tree Time!!!! Today and Sunday, November 18th, you may select an angel from the Angel Tree after morning worship service in the Foyer. By selecting an angel, you are agreeing to purchase a minimum $ 20 toy gift and a $20 clothing gift for that angel by helping to provide gifts to a child of an incarcerated parent. Cowboy Santa

Enrollment for this year’s Cowboy Santa will take place every Sunday beginning today thru Sunday, November 25th, after morning worship service in the Foyer. Children ages 0 to 12 years. For more information, please contact Sis. Charlene Morris at 817-361-2597

Church Outing

We have a church outing Sunday, November 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Greater St. James Baptist Church, 210 Harding St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Rev. Les Brewer is the Pastor. Our very own Dr. Douglas E. Brown will be bringing the message. Directions may be pick up from the Welcome Center

Soul Care Ministry

The Soul Care Ministry Workshop will be held on Monday, November 26th from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in room 101. Open to the public, learning to think biblically. Breakfast with Santa

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Fort Worth chapter cordially invites you to Breakfast with Santa. Children can eat, participate in crafts and take a picture with Santa after sharing their Christmas wish list! This exciting event will be held at Great Commission Baptist Church on Saturday, December 1st from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 for children 0-12 and $10 for adults 13 and up. Seating is limited so please purchase your tickets as soon as possible. This event also benefits the Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Foundation whose mission is to address issues affecting African American children and families, by investing in programs and services that create a strong foundation for children to thrive long-term.

Nursing Home Ministry

We would like to invite you to come and worship with the Nursing Home Ministry as we share a word from God each Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Southwest Nursing Home and on every first and third Saturday at Wedgwood Rehab Center.
