Every Sunday the Food Pantry Ministry will have “OneCanIcan”. Everyone (member, nonmember, guests, and visitors) will have the opportunity to help with providing food for the less fortunate by bringing one can good. Place your can-good in the “onecanIcan” bins located at any entrance.
Items for the month are
April 1st Green Beans, corn, spinach, instant potatoes, vegetable soup
April 8th Spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, vienna sausage
April 15th Fruit cocktail, peaches, mandarin orange slices
April 22nd Milk from the shelf, can chicken, beef stew, spam, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish
April 29th Dry cereal, grits, macaronni and cheese, rice, dry beans
National Day of Prayer
Please join the Prayer Ministry for the National Day of Prayer, May 3rd from 6:30p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Wedgewood Baptist Church, 5522 Whitman Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76133. Dr. Douglas E. Brown is on program, so let’s all go and support our pastor.
Sunday April 29th at 3:30 p.m. at Greater New Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 207 Eggar St., Waxahachie, Texas 75165. Dr. Roy Edwards is the Pastor. Our very own Dr. Douglas E. Brown will be bringing the message. Directions may be pick up at the welcome center.
Pastor and Family Appreciation Month
During the month of May, we will celebrate our dynamic, powerful, and anointed Dr. Douglas E. Brown and Family’s Appreciation Services. This year marks 25 years of Dr. Brown’s Pastorate at Great Commission Baptist Church! Everyone is encouraged to lift his or her voices and magnify God for what He has done in the life of our pastor. You are encouraged to pray for our pastor and family, not only during the month of May, but always. Let us do, whatever we can do, to make this a Wonderful and Blessed Occasion!

Nursing Home Ministry
We would like to invite you to come and worship with the Nursing Home Ministry as we share a word from God each Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Southwest Nursing Home and on every first and third Saturday at Wedgwood Rehab Center. Our Youth Ministry is in need of volunteers, if you love children, WE NEED YOU!!
