OneCanIcan

Every Sunday the Food Pantry Ministry will have “OneCanIcan”.  Everyone (member, nonmember, guests, and visitors) will have the opportunity to help with providing food for the less fortunate by bringing one can good. Place your can-good in the “onecanIcan” bins located at any entrance.

Items for the month are

May 28th                       Canned meat; chicken, tuna, spam, Vienna sausage, beef stew, chili, spaghetti sauce

Church Closing

In observance of the Memorial Day Holiday, the church will be closed Monday, May 29th. There will be no meetings or rehearsals.

2017 Youth Football Clinic

The Fellowship Foundation and the GCBC Men’s Ministry are teaming up to host our 6th Annual Youth Football Clinic on Saturday, May 27th from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This event is FREE. The age of the clinic is 3rd grade thru 8th grade. Your child must have a signed release form on file in order to participate. You may sign up in the Foyer after morning worship service. A Talk with Lady LaKedra

“Ladies get ready! It’s that time again for First Lady’s annual event, “A Talk With Lady LaKedra” talk show. Come out on Friday, May 26th at 7:30 pm for an evening of girl talk with Lady LaKedra along with special guest panelists, life coach, Tonya Cunningham, youth motivational speaker, Nita B, Fort Worth council member, Kelly Gray, and Commissioner, Dionne Bagsby.

 
 Expect spiritual guidance on adjusting to life’s changes,self-esteem, excelling in your career, how to building strong relationships and the answer to our greatest question, “To be or not to be….me?” We promise this year’s show is one you won’t want to miss! Vacation Bible School

VBS 2017 will turn our kids into Galactic Starveyors as they focus their telescopes on..God (YOU MUST REGISTER your child or chldren TO FIND OUT HOW). Registration starts today, through May 28, 2017 for Pre-K through 12th grade. Registration is for all volunteers and youth. You may sign up in the Foyer after morning worship. Arts and Crafts

VBS is collecting paper towel spools to support our Arts & Crafts activity this year. Please don’t toss them in the trash, instead bring them in and place them in the VBS bins located in the Mall area.

New Member Orientation

New Members Orientation Class will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. If you are a member 10 years of age or older, and have not attended this class to receive the right-hand of fellowship from Dr. Brown, now is the time! You may sign up in the the Foyer after morning worship service or on Wednesday nights after Bible Study, and you may pick up your New Members Orientation folder at this time. Father Daughter Dance”Sock Hop” with Dad

 The Father Daughter Dance “Sock Hop” with Dad will be held on Friday, June 16th from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at The Hilton Garden Inn 912 Northton Street, Ft. Worth, TX 76104 (817-921-0788). The cost is $ 10.00 for the father, $ 10.00 for the 1st daughter and $ 5.00 for each additional daughter. You may purchase tickets today through June 11th and on Wednesday nights after Bible Study.  The Home Away From Home Ministry is requesting that all 2017-2018 College students and active GCBC Military personnel to please fill out a Home Away From Home Ministry form. After 06/01/2016, we will need you to update your payment information and recurring payments. Introducing GCBC Text Giving! You can donate to various funds in under a minute using your mobile device. Text Giving is fast and secure. Text the amount you would like to give to (817) 381-7702. If you are a first time text giving donor you will be prompted to visit a secure URL to complete a one-time registration to submit your gift. Once you click the registration link, you will enter your credit or debit card information. At this point your donation will process. Food Pantry hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Birthdays and Anniversaries

If you would like for your birthday or anniversary to be announced during that month, please call Sis. Marilyn Johnson, at 817-346-1869, extension 1002 to give your information for the following month. The deadline is the 3rd Sunday of each month before the month of your birthday or anniversary.
