You can expect to hear inspiring music as well as an engaging message that is Biblically Inspiring, Practical and Challenging. Some will come dressed up others casual so feel free to wear whatever is comfortable for you.
What we believe
At Great Commission, we believe in biblical teachings. That means, we look at the scriptures, to understand God’s will and character. We trust the Bible and are led by the Holy Spirit–not by theological statements or denominational views. We focus on the essential beliefs that make us Christians. We believe that the following unite all followers of Jesus, regardless of denomination or theological distinctives.

Our team
We’re more than a staff; we’re a family. We are dedicated followers of Jesus, who use our unique God-given talents and passions to spread God’s Word across the globe, as well as to help one another grow and follow the calling God has placed on our lives. We have our own personality, but together, we are Great Commission Baptist Church.
Our story
Great Commission Baptist Church on the outskirts of Southwest Fort Worth had been around since 1985, but never experienced much growth until March 28, 1993 when the new pastor, Douglas E. Brown, started preaching. Despite the small size of the church, people began to flock in and before long the congregation had doubled in size.
As the years went by, members of the Great Commission began to reach out to those outside of their walls and spread the message of love that Pastor Brown preached so passionately about. His sermons were so engaging that people from all walks of life begin to come.
COMMISSION TOTS
Commission Tots serves kids from Newborn through Pre-K. We have teachers equipped to care for our little ones as they provide age-appropriate games, worship, Bible lessons, and prayer for every age group!
COMMISSION KIDS
Commission Kids serves kids from kindergarten through 6th grade. It’s important to us to provide a fun and safe environment. We have age-appropriate games, general Youth worship, Bible lessons, and memory verses for every age group! It is our prayer that our kids encounter Jesus!
COMMISSION TEENS
If you are in grades 6 through 12, Commission Teens is a great place for you to get connected and discover how God can use you to make a difference in this world. Come and experience powerful times of worship, encouraging messages, and strong community.
